What To Know About AP Spanish

AP Spanish is the highest level of Spanish offered in most high schools across in the U.S. where high school students receive college credits for these courses before entering college. The only real difference with AP courses like AP Spanish from typical Spanish courses is the grade scale. With AP Spanish, the scale used is from 1-5 versus a A-F scale. With any AP course you take, including AP Spanish, every student’s goal, including you, should be to score a 5!

Many students (not all) tend to learn just enough just to get by with a passing grade. While some may actually take Spanish seriously and really take progressive steps to use it daily with natives versus sticking just to classroom setting. Best Ways to Learn Spanish On Your Own Recommend by an Expert

What are the best way to learn Spanish ways to learn Spanish on your own today?

Well, take it from someone who knows because one thing that I have always had was a passion for learning languages. Read about me here. But just as the title of this articles says, what are best ways to learn Spanish on your own?

Spanish Language Software

Well, let me start off by saying that the best thing you should do first is start by thinking about implementing a simple system that caters to you as the learner. Don’t worry about what everybody else is doing because every language learning system doesn’t work for everybody. Why do I say this you wonder? Before you can comprehend the best ways to learn Spanish on your own, I think that it is key to know & understand how you learn things. Why? I say this because there are tons of tools out there that you could utilize such as Spanish language software like those mentioned on my page here, but none of these really will mean anything to you if you don’t know how to use them correctly.

I remember when I was 18 years old, I was learning to read, write & speak Spanish after high school. I was exposed to Spanish prior in my younger years, however at 18 is when I really got serious about learning Spanish.

At that time I used a very popular Spanish language software that still is to this very day called Living Language Spanish. This is one that I truly recommend because it has a very simple layout and is extremely easy to follow. Also I would like to add that the Living Language Spanish course with the CD’s are super affordable for everyone’s budget. I bought this particular course because I learn things by hearing. The one that I purchased is here on Amazon, but they do have some newer and more updated versions of the Living Language Spanish course here that you can also consider for purchase to learn Spanish on your own. Now the great thing about this course if you use it the right way (that’s the key with anything), you will be speaking within about 30-40 days. Now, let me be clear by what I mean when I say that you  will speaking Spanish. I don’t mean that you will be fluent in Spanish. Rather, you will be off to good wing after you start applying what you learn with the Living Language Spanish course as I did. To see some other Spanish Language Software that I also highly recommend, please visit this page here.

Watching Spanish Cartoons?

You may underestimate them, but Spanish cartoons are another one of my recommended best ways to learn Spanish on your own. You would be surprised at how many Spanish words you could learn from cartoons like Dora the explorer, Jorge el Curioso or Curious George as you may know it. See more Spanish cartons here. Although these well know cartoons are very fun ways to learn Spanish for kids, I think that when you are learning a new language for the first time such as Spanish, then it’s like starting all over again from the beginning just like a kid. Often these Spanish will say a word in Spanish and then give it English equivalent, or vice versa.

Listening to Spanish music

Listening to Spanish music is another great way to learn Spanish on your own. I say this many popular Spanish song that you know the words to have also been dubbed in Spanish. So this makes it super easier to learn and remember these Spanish lyrics. Also you are teaching yourself while enjoying your favorite songs which is fun learning!

Practice and Learn from natives

There are many benefits to learning Spanish directly with natives. When you are among natives, you can learn far more vocabulary and Spanish expressions that never you will never learn in a Spanish book such as slang. This also opens your mind & exposes you to many different natives who may come from different Spanish speaking countries who have very own distinct sayings. If you have the opportunity to travel to a Spanish speaking country such as Panama, Spain, Mexico, Dominican Republic or perhaps somewhere in South America, this will really expedite your learning Spanish as you will be surrounded by Spanish 24 hours a day and be forced to speak at a faster rate. This is probably the best of the best ways to learn Spanish on your own because you have someone there who can correct you right on the spot when it comes to phonetics and grammar. This is one thing that has really helped me a lot in my travels to master Spanish.

Free Ways to learn Spanish on Your Own

If you are not able to travel outside of the country just yet, there are many free ways to learn Spanish on your own that you have at your disposal. Try sites & tools like:

As you could see above there are many ways to learn Spanish on your own. Of course, there are many other effective things that you could do, however these few ideas that I have shared with you today above are of the best ways to learn Spanish on your own that I have found to be the most effective for newbies who would like to learn Spanish.

Do you need Spanish Tutoring Services?

In most schools across the US, students are required to take a foreign language as a requirement to graduate. Of these, Spanish is one the most spoken languages in the world after Chinese according to Wikipedia. This in inself is a really good reason to learn Spanish. However, it may be hard and really challenging to learn Spanish if this is your first time learning a foreign language.

I want you to know that learning Spanish doesn’t have to be hard if you take advantage and make great use of some Spanish tutoring services. In fact, when you learn Spanish or any foreign language it can be lots of fun and really rewarding if you have a good system and backbone in place. Choosing to use Spanish tutoring services could be the best method to help you to develop a system that caters to your learning needs. Why do we say this?

The truth is that many Spanish courses and classes given in school don’t cater to all needs of students. Some students learn things audibly. Some by reading things. Many other students are visual learners. Why is it important to know and recognize this about yourself? Because this will determine how you learn Spanish and how Spanish tutoring services can personally cater to you one on one.

Often, students discover that the book Spanish that is learned in school is not the same Spanish that is spoken daily by natives. Has this been your experience? Be truthful. Although you may learn grammar in school, you probably have quickly realized that most natives may tend to use different colloquials, slang or even have different accents than that used in a school room setting. This is another reason to consider Spanish tutoring services.

Utilizing Spanish tutoring services will help you as a student to not simply prepare for test or understand a specific material studied. Rather, it will also help you to become more well rounded with the Spanish language.

Spanish tutoring services are a great a investment for your ongoing education and will create a convenient learning experience that sometimes may not always be available in or after school. You can have Spanish tutor to study with you when ever you need it.
