Well, take it from someone who knows because one thing that I have always had was a passion for learning languages. Read about me here. But just as the title of this articles says, what are best ways to learn Spanish on your own?

Well, let me start off by saying that the best thing you should do first is start by thinking about implementing a simple system that caters to you as the learner. Don’t worry about what everybody else is doing because every language learning system doesn’t work for everybody. Why do I say this you wonder? Before you can comprehend the best ways to learn Spanish on your own, I think that it is key to know & understand how you learn things. Why? I say this because there are tons of tools out there that you could utilize such as Spanish language software like those mentioned on my page here, but none of these really will mean anything to you if you don’t know how to use them correctly.

I remember when I was 18 years old, I was learning to read, write & speak Spanish after high school. I was exposed to Spanish prior in my younger years, however at 18 is when I really got serious about learning Spanish.

At that time I used a very popular Spanish language software that still is to this very day called Living Language Spanish. This is one that I truly recommend because it has a very simple layout and is extremely easy to follow. Also I would like to add that the Living Language Spanish course with the CD’s are super affordable for everyone’s budget. I bought this particular course because I learn things by hearing. The one that I purchased is here on Amazon, but they do have some newer and more updated versions of the Living Language Spanish course here that you can also consider for purchase to learn Spanish on your own. Now the great thing about this course if you use it the right way (that’s the key with anything), you will be speaking within about 30-40 days. Now, let me be clear by what I mean when I say that you will speaking Spanish. I don’t mean that you will be fluent in Spanish. Rather, you will be off to good wing after you start applying what you learn with the Living Language Spanish course as I did. Watching Spanish Cartoons?

You may underestimate them, but Spanish cartoons are another one of my recommended best ways to learn Spanish on your own. If you have the opportunity to travel to a Spanish speaking country such as Panama, Spain, Mexico, Dominican Republic or perhaps somewhere in South America, this will really expedite your learning Spanish as you will be surrounded by Spanish 24 hours a day and be forced to speak at a faster rate. This is probably the best of the best ways to learn Spanish on your own because you have someone there who can correct you right on the spot when it comes to phonetics and grammar. This is one thing that has really helped me a lot in my travels to master Spanish.
